At Skokie Eye Group, we’re redefining eye care. Our modern office is equipped with the latest technology to provide everything from thorough eye exams to advanced, specialized treatments. Our caring doctors and welcoming staff are here to protect your eye health and keep your vision clear for years to come.

  • Our comprehensive eye exams are designed to assess every aspect of your visual health. Our doctors utilize advanced diagnostic equipment to evaluate your visual acuity, assess eye movement and coordination, and check for refractive errors. We prioritize your eye health by conducting thorough evaluations of the retina, optic nerve, and anterior segments of your eyes. With our commitment to the latest technology, we utilize Optical Coherence Tomography (OCT) machines to capture high-resolution cross-sectional images of your retina, aiding in early detection of various eye conditions.

  • Our medical eye exams reflect our commitment to comprehensive, patient-centered care. Combining years of clinical experience with advanced imaging and diagnostic tools, our doctors are able to examine the eyes with exceptional precision—allowing for early detection and management of conditions such as glaucoma, macular degeneration, diabetic retinopathy, and more.

In addition to diagnosing and treating ocular disease, we offer advanced dry eye evaluations and customized treatment plans to help restore comfort and protect long-term eye health. We also provide pre- and post-operative care for LASIK and cataract surgery, ensuring continuity of care and close communication with your surgeon.

Our team collaborates with primary care providers and medical specialists—including endocrinologists, rheumatologists, and ophthalmologists—to support your overall health through coordinated, multidisciplinary care.

  • We understand that one size does not fit all when it comes to vision correction. Our specialty contact lens services are designed to cater to unique visual needs. Our topographer machine helps us map the curvature of your cornea, enabling us to fit specialty contact lenses with unparalleled accuracy. Whether you require rigid gas permeable lenses, scleral lenses, or multifocal contacts, we have the expertise and technology to provide comfortable and effective solutions for your visual challenges.

  • As part of our proactive approach to eye health, we offer comprehensive myopia management programs designed to slow the progression of nearsightedness in children and young adults. Our tailored treatment plans may include MiSight® 1 day contact lenses, Orthokeratology (Ortho-K) lenses, and low-dose atropine therapy, depending on each child’s specific needs and lifestyle.

MiSight® lenses are FDA-approved daily disposable contacts proven to reduce myopia progression, while Ortho-K lenses are worn overnight to gently reshape the cornea, offering clear vision during the day without glasses or daytime contacts. Low-dose atropine drops provide another effective, non-invasive option to help control myopia progression.

Our team works closely with both parents and children to create a personalized plan that fits their goals and routines. Through regular follow-up visits and detailed monitoring, we ensure that each child’s treatment remains effective and adaptable over time, supporting their long-term visual development.

  • We offer advanced dry eye evaluations and customized treatment plans to target the root causes of dry eye disease and provide long-term relief. Our doctors use a combination of clinical experience and modern diagnostic tools to assess tear film quality, meibomian gland function, and ocular surface health.

Treatment options may include prescription drops such as Restasis®, Cequa®, or Xiidra®, which help reduce inflammation and improve tear production. For patients with meibomian gland dysfunction or blepharitis, we offer BlephEx® eyelid exfoliation and iLux® thermal gland expression to restore proper oil flow and reduce inflammation.

We’re proud to offer our newest and most effective in-office treatments: Intense Pulsed Light (IPL) and Radiofrequency (RF). These innovative treatments target inflammation around the eyes, stimulate collagen production, and improve meibomian gland function—helping many patients achieve significant and lasting relief from chronic dry eye symptoms.

Dry eye is a chronic condition that often requires ongoing care. We emphasize patient education, close monitoring, and regular follow-ups to ensure each treatment plan remains effective and personalized to your evolving needs.

Advanced technology

for early detection and treatment

Using the Topcon 3D OCT Maestro, we capture high-resolution, cross-sectional images of the retina—similar to an ultrasound, but using light instead of sound waves. This quick, non-invasive, and painless scan reveals the layers of the retina in exceptional detail, helping us detect the earliest signs of glaucoma, macular degeneration, diabetic retinopathy, and other sight-threatening conditions.

This type of imaging is especially important for high-risk patients, including those with diabetes, a family history of eye disease, or patients over the age of 60.

By analyzing these detailed images, our doctors can monitor subtle changes over time, make early diagnoses—often before symptoms appear—and develop treatment plans tailored to protect and preserve your vision. The scan takes just a few seconds and plays a vital role in managing both routine and complex eye care needs.

We use the Topcon CA-800 Corneal Analyzer to perform detailed corneal topography—a non-invasive scan that maps the shape and curvature of the cornea, the clear front surface of the eye. This advanced imaging helps us detect even subtle irregularities in the cornea and is essential for diagnosing and managing conditions such as keratoconus, irregular astigmatism, and corneal scars.

Corneal topography also plays a key role in fitting specialty contact lenses like scleral lenses and Ortho-K, and in pre-operative assessments for LASIK or cataract surgery. The scan is quick and painless, and it gives our doctors the information needed to create a more accurate, customized treatment plan to support your vision and eye health.

We use the Envision by InMode system—the latest advancement in dry eye treatment available in eye care today—offering a powerful combination of Intense Pulsed Light (IPL) and Radiofrequency (RF) therapy. This non-invasive, in-office procedure is especially effective for patients with meibomian gland dysfunction (MGD), one of the most common causes of chronic dry eye.

IPL helps reduce inflammation around the eyelids and stimulates healthy oil gland function, while RF uses gentle heat to unclog blocked glands and improve tear film stability. Together, they provide significant relief from symptoms such as burning, redness, grittiness, and irritation, while supporting long-term ocular surface health.

Comfortable, quick, and requiring minimal downtime, Envision is an excellent option for patients who have not responded to traditional treatments like artificial tears or prescription eye drops.
